How Diana still got her order on time when her supplier ran out of stock last minute.

Who is Diana and how did she find Supplybunny.
About a week ago, Diana was looking to buy a carton of SCS Salted Butter for her home bakery business. She bakes and sells cakes online, so naturally, butter is an essential ingredient for her to run her business. So she searched on Google and found Supplybunny. After comparing prices, Diana decided to order from Supplier A. She placed her order, paid for it the next day, and expected it to be delivered to her on Friday that week (As stated in her confirmed quotation).

What happened with her order
Everything was fine until Wednesday. Supplier A calls Diana to tell her that their salted butter is out of stock and suggested her to buy another brand of butter (same type, but more expensive). So in order for Diana to get the butter on Friday, she would have to top up to her payment, wait for the confirmation and god knows if any other issue might occur.

How we helped Diana
Frustrated, Diana called Supplybunny. We quickly looked through our supplier database and found another supplier (Supplier B) selling the same brand of butter. After communicating with Supplier B, we confirmed that the delivery and pricing of the butter is same as what Diana paid for. We quickly helped Diana to place an order and transferred the payment in our system.

Follow-up
On Friday, we followed up with Diana and she was happy that she received the butter on time and told us that she would order from Supplybunny again in the future.

Situation

An owner from Restaurant A orders from a supplier in Supplybunny. Items ordered were different kinds breads. This owner has 4 restaurant outlets, with different amount orders for each outlets. In Supplybunny, when an order is place, a quotation is created with 1 delivery address.

Therefore, 4 quotations were created for this owner. The MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) for this specific bread supplier was RM150 in a quotation for free delivery. If the order does not fulfill RM150, a delivery fee of RM10 will be charged per quotation. However, owner of Restaurant A bought more than RM150 from 2 of the outlets but below RM150 for the other 2 outlets due to difference in demand. The total amount (in RM) for 4 quotations were RM700+.

After understanding the situation, Supplybunny wanted to help owner of Restaurant A.

Challenges

Explaining owner of Restaurant A’s situation to the supplier, giving them a clear picture of the situation and ensuring there are no miscommunication in between.

Convincing the supplier to waive their delivery charge or lower the MOQ for this specific owner.

Actions

Called up the supplier, explained about the situation.

Suggested them to waive the delivery charge or lower their MOQ for this specific owner.

Negotiated with the supplier about the MOQ amount, at the same time understanding the supplier’s point of view.

Results

MOQ was lowered to RM100 for this specific owner, for owner of Restaurant A to enjoy free delivery.

Owner of Restaurant A and the supplier were both happy with the result, and owner of Restaurant A is ordering weekly with Supplybunny.

Daun kesom or known as Laksa Leaf is an essential ingredient for making laksa. Without daun kesom, there is no way your laksa can be complete. It would be as if you’re seasoning with salt but without the pepper. However, other than laksa, daun kesom can be used as an additional herb when you make Nasi ulam, Nasi kerabu and when you make Asam Pedas or other fish dishes.

Elite Gourmet sells several varieties of cresses, which is a rather fast-growing, edible herb. On supplybunny, Elite Gourmet supplies 9 types of cresses in total. zoomed_f640e3ca-8e69-484a-a630-a1dcf2b51f8c
Cress Shiso Purple (16 pots per carton)
The unique taste is slightly reminiscent of cumin. Shiso Purple can be used in a variety of dishes and is also extremely decorative. It tastes best when combined with wild mushrooms, cheese, or bouillon. We also recommend combining Shiso Purple with raw fish. Also available: Shiso Green

Affilla cress (Chinese cress)
Cress Affilla (16 pots per carton)

Affilla Cress is characterised by its highly unusual and decorative shape. Affilla Cress is related to the sugar pea, making it a good substitute for peas in recipes. The product’s sweet taste does well in combinations with bitter and tangy dishes. Affilla Cress can be used in hot or cold dishes, or in salads where its pea-like flavour really comes through.

The cress has an unmistakeably clean and refreshing taste, with salty notes reminiscent of oyster. Borage Cress makes an excellent addition to shellfish or lightly cooked and cold smoked fish. We also recommend combining Borage Cress with meat or steak tartare.

Cress Sakura Mix (18 pots per carton)

Cress Sakura Mix is a mix for connoisseurs, combining a number of recognizable and pronounced flavours. The various cress varieties in the Sakura Mix give you plenty of options.

Other than cresses, Elite Gourmet also supplies Blueberries and Strawberries.
